Watercolor Fundamentals in Illustration


Dates: 6 days - Tuesdays from 19:00 pm to 22:00 pm.
22nd, 29th of October and 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th of November.

What will you achieve? This workshop will teach you the process of creating watercolor illustrations, from the sketch to the final piece. You will learn how to draw from your imagination, and create beautiful illustrations that can be used in your portfolio, on a finished product or just for fun!

During these 6 weeks days we will mainly focus on watercolor techniques to be able to draw and paint illustrations. You will be working on your pieces, as well as remaking some of the teacher’s illustrations a step by step, to get a deeper grasp of the process.

Costs: €300 per person. This price includes:

  • High quality paper and other materials to use during the course,

At the end of the course, you will have a greater understanding of: sketching, color and texture studies, and watercolor techniques. You will go home with three finished illustrations and knowledge to continue your personal projects! 

It's not required to know how to draw, but you do have to be motivated and open to new things! 



The teacher

Angela is Spanish artist and illustrator has a passion for watercolour techniques. Her work explores feelings, the human body and nature, both in realistic and imaginative styles.

The studio

The course will take place in Studio 40-D, where Paper Brush Studio is located (at Amsteldijk 40-D). A perfect central location in Amsterdam, easy to reach by public transport.
