During this course you will learn, step by step, the process of creating botanical illustrations while learning the basics of watercolour.
Using a beautiful colour palette and fresh flowers you will explore the world of botanical art; texture, colours, light, shadow and composition. Then, you will combine the knowledge to create a botanical watercolour illustration ready to hang on the wall!

Watercolour Fundamentals in Illustration

Join the Paper Brush in this six week illustration course at our Amsterdam studio!
This workshop will teach you the process of creating watercolour illustrations, from the sketch to the final piece. You will learn how to draw from your imagination, and create beautiful illustrations that can be used in your portfolio, on a finished product or just for fun!
Dates: 6 days - Tuesdays from 19:00 pm to 21:30 pm.

Come and learn more about lettering with our amazing guest teacher Talita Marques, during this course you will learn many different types of lettering, and also about the different materials that you can use and how to get the best results!

The Open Draw
The Open Draw is a social event that has been part of the Amsterdam art scene since 2013. Angela & Aafke (founders of Paper Brush Studio) actually met at one of these events. From September 2018 the Open Draw is now officially part of the Paper Brush Family!
What is The Open Draw? It’s a night to relax, enjoy the freedom of using a large amount of art materials and getting to know new people!
